[Talia's voice has a particular edge to it and she's doing all she can to keep her shields tight. The only thing she allows through is a sense of calm for her dear husband.]

Kevas .. when you've a moment, beloved, I need to speak with you.

[No, dear, she's clearly not mad at you, but she's definitely upset about something.

Hope you got a head start, Tony. :|]

[There's pretty much a balance that remains pretty well in place in regards to Talia and Kevas. She typically has no problem being the balm to calm his lashing out. There are very few things that bother her enough to get angry about, but this is one that short list. This sort of violence is mindless and unecessary and she can find no excuse for it at all.

His response neither shocks nor alarms her, as she'd felt and seen him this angry before. She can feel the niggling annoyance and guilt over just having promised to behave himself. She knows, however, that this issue is an unforgivable offense.]

We'll take care of this. I can't abide by bullies or abusers.

[She meets his gaze evenly, chin rising just a touch.]

I can find him when you want him. There is nowhere he can hide that I cannot find him. Nowhere.

[Not a boast in the slightest. Simple fact.]

[Now this is a surprise, a not an unpleasant one in the least. Normally his family is quick to talk him out of seeking vengeance. Kevas likes this change, although he's smart enough to not expect it to happen often.

Kevas can't help but smile smugly at her response.]

Aye, dat we will, but we be needin' to dis smart. I ain't 'bout to see joo punished fuh dis.

[There's no way in hell he'll have her put in the stocks for accompanying on this.]

Of dat I be havin' no doubt. Remind me to nevah angah joo.

[Kevas chuckles, but it's a dark sound.]

[Other times Talia might be quick to deter her life mate from his chosen path, but this time she is not only encouraging, but willing to get her own hands dirty. Mimmi was important to Kevas and was one of the few remaining survivors from the Elegante and the Shore. That was more than enough to step from the safety of inaction and see something done.

She smiles slightly at his response, but nods.]

I would prefer that we both remain clear of the stocks or dungeon, but it will be a punishment well earned.

[She smirks slightly and chuckles.]

You'd atleast know I was coming, beloved. I do not expect that he will be so lucky in that respect.

[In fact, she planned to make certain of it.]

[Kevas had already given his warning to Tony, and while Mimmi wasn't apart of his family, she was one of the survivors of the Elegante and that meant something at least. Besides, Kevas has no intentions on holding up his end of the bargain with a scumbag like Tony.

The troll grins back at her.]

If we play dis smart, maybe neiddah of us will.

[And Kevas fully intends on getting creative with this situation.]

No he won't. Not in da least.

[Tony will never know what hit him.]

[Talia nods in reply to that.]

Agreed .. played correctly, the results could all fall on his head and his head alone. [It was a bit un-Heraldlike an action to pursue, but these were quite un-Heraldlike circumstances.]

I wanted you to know from me .. or from Mimmi .. on the off chance that he decides to gloat or do her further harm.

[Hmm, now there was a question .. was INTENT or action the real punishable offense? If a booby trap actually did the harm, did it count against those setting it into motion?]

[Don't worry Talia, he won't tell anyone if you won't.]

Him gloat? No he be diggin' himself da biggest hole he can and hidin' in it. Doubt we'll be hearin' anytin' outta him till his punishment be rollin' around, but t'ank jah fuh lettin' me know.

[Now do they wait until then to go after him?]

We gonna be needin' plenty of rope fuh dis.

She makes a small sound in the back of her throat, lip curling slightly. Tony, she was learning, was quite the piece of work.]

Possibly the smartest decision he'd thought he'd made.. terrible shame that isn't going to work out to well for him this time. [She was relatively certain that this wasn't a first time thing for Tony.

She arches a brow at the last, lips quirking slightly.]

I believe we could find a supply of it in the stable storeroom. If not there, the armory or the bower would likely have supply enough. You've something in mind?

[He's just a sweetheart like that.

Kevas crosses his arms and smirks at her. If she thinks that bad then wait till she hears about what he's done in the past.]

Whole lotta t'ings ain't been workin' out fuh him much since da mon met me.

[Most especially when he tried going after Vie. Now that was possibly the worst decision Tony ever made seeing how it put him on Kevas' radar and his eternal shit list.

Kevas nods his headl. Oh he's got something in mind alright.]

Dey may be havin' a problem wid us doin' end da mind, but if we just happen to 'lose track of him' somewhere danguhrous and he be gettin' hurt who be to say we did anytin'?

[Talia's distaste is clear in regards to Tony and she is of the belief that the man rather has this coming to him. He needed to get it through his head, in some way, that he couldn't do this and that his actions had consequences.]

That was one of the very angles I was myself considering, my love. You've only to let me know when and I will see him found.

[Unless he pokes his head out before then. C'mon, Tony .. come out and play!]

[He's oddly comforted by this. Not only is she supporting him on this, but she's also willing to help him as well. Normally he has to do such things behind everyone's back, which usually just leads to more trouble for him. Kevas smiles at her and places a soft kiss on her forehead.]

Soon, but first be comin' more important t'ings.

[There are a group of kids bound for that forest and he's not about to let them go in there alone.]

[She'd gone a long time without taking action of any sort, but this was inexcuseable. THIS was what she, as a Herald, was meant to prevent. When his lips brush her forehead, she smiles and then raises her gaze to his once more, nodding.]

A trek into the forest, if my conversation with Chloe is correct. Did jack think to tell you about the stone gollum that protects the border? Or at least the messenger pigeons .. He took rather a personal offense when we tried to claim a canister during our trek to the cairn.

[Kevas, man of action!]

[Now there's that smile he loves so much.]

So joo be knowin' already? Dat be savin' me an explanation den.

[His eyebrows furrow at the mention of the golem. Now that's something Jack failed to mention. It might make things a bit more difficult. That giant stone crocolisk was bad enough and he can't imagine something like that will be any better. Blades don't work so well against stone, especially blunted ones.]

No, da mon failed to mention dat bit of it to me.

[Action and intrigue, James Bond eat your heart out.

[She nods in response to the first and then sighs as he tells her that Jack didn't mention the stone man; which had been the worst encounter of the lot.]

I wish I were surprised that he failed to note the stone man.. We found a message pigeon during our time and when we took it the creature showed itself. It chased us until we'd lost both the canister and the note inside .. which wasn't a particularly large help in itself. 'Don't look behind you.' [She snorts dryly.] As if I needed a messenger bird to tell me that.

[Kevas only chuckles. No use worrying about her now seeing as she made it back in one piece. From the sound of things her trip went much better than his trip into the tunnels. At least no one got eaten.]

A pirate be a pirate. Can't expect to get da whole story outta him, but I'll be sure to leave any pigeons I see alone.

[Now if only everything else will be that friendly to them.]

[It had been perfectly safe (mostly) until the golem showed up. He rained on everyone's parade!! But yeah, it was better off than the tunnel trip had gone.]

Please do. I'd rather you all come back in one piece if at all possible.

[Yes, if only. But were they ever that lucky?]

[Stupid golem ruining everyone's fun. He better not crash this party.]

Don't worry, I'll come back wid everytin' intact, or at least all da important stuff.

[Well, if he doesn't you know you can expect SOMEONE or SOMETHING else to do so. It's how things roll around these parts.

Talia smiles and nods, even if she worries that it will not be as simple as he hopes it to be. Were things ever as simple as they expected or hoped them to be? No, of course not.]

Well, so long as all the important bits are still attached.

[Her lips quirk into a grin at the end.]

[He has no doubt it won't be as simple as he hopes but that doesn't keep him from hoping. Sollux he knows has seen trouble but he's not too sure about the other two. If at all possible he'd like to get them in and out with as little trouble as possible.

Kevas gives her a husky chuckle at her remark.]

I promise dey'll all be dere fuh jah when I be gettin' back.

[She shifts and moves in so she can lean her head against his chest.]

Damned well better be.

[Her arms loop around his waist and she exhales softly.]

[His rings an arm around her in return while runs his fingers up and down her back with his free hand.]

Joo ain't gonna be gettin' rid of me dat easily.

[He kisses her forehead reassuringly again.]
